Tuition Background
Matthew is a strong believer that Singing, be it professionally or just for fun is one of the most cathartic forms of self-expression. Matthew has been sharing this passion with others since his school days. Having worked as a Musical Director and Vocal Coach locally since his late teens he has a vast array of experience working with pupils of all ages. Matthew tailors his approach to each student's individual needs and ensures that they strive to achieve their full potential.
As well as Matthew's personal focus on Classical singing he has many years of experience in Musical Theatre and is able to coach students in repertoire from a wide variety of genres.
Singing Lessons / Repertoire Coaching
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all tuition is taking place online via Zoom. Lessons are available in 15 minute increments starting at 30 minutes up to an hour.
Lessons are available on a pay-as-you-go basis or can be purchased in blocks at a discounted rate. Single repertoire coaching sessions are also available in preparation for school exams etc.
Any and all tuition provided is subject to contract.
Peace of Mind
For the extra peace of mind of his pupils and their parents/guardians, Matthew has undertaken an enhanced background check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. Although not a legal requirement for private music tuition, DBS checks are a widespread requirement to work with young people in a variety of environments such as schools and youth groups. Matthew is happy to produce this certificate to any prospective pupil or parent/guardian who would like assurance that they will be able to persue their passion for singing in a safe environment.
